Prior to tonight, Sullivan Cauley has competed exclusively under the Bellator banner in his young professional career. An amateur and regional MMA heavyweight champion, Cauley wrestled collegiately at Arizona State, was a Golden Gloves boxer and finished second at -91kg in the 2019 IFMA Muay Thai Championships. Cauley last fought in August 2023, defeating Hamza Salim at Bellator 298.

 

Alex Polizzi wrestled at Northwestern before transitioning to MMA. He’s found success thus far with a 4-3 Bellator record and a championship on the regional scene. The Xtreme Couture product scored a major victory his last time out, defeating former PFL World Champion Antonio Carlos Jr.

Polizzi immediately goes for a takedown, but Cauley scrambles back up to his feet right away. Polizzi then goes for another takedown and gets it, getting a strong hold of Cauley’s legs. Cauley tries to use his hands to force himself up, while Polizzi tries to pressure and use his weight to keep Cauley grounded. Cauley forces his way back up to his feet. Cauley throws elbows, and they’re landing! Polizzi is hurt! Just like that Cauley finishes the fight!
