A 2023 IFMA Muay Thai and World Combat Games gold medalist, Hattan Alsaif furthered her history when she became the first Saudi woman to sign with the PFL. She had a major highlight in her amateur debut in May, scoring a head-kick knockout of Nada Faheem. She followed that up in July with a second-round finish of Eman Baraka.

 

Lilia Osmani makes her amateur MMA debut tonight after a highly successful run in Kempo karate. A black belt in the discipline, Osmani has been a member of the Algerian National Team and is a 19-time National Champion in the sport. At just 19 years old, Osmani has strong striking that she is looking to utilize in the SmartCage.

Round 1

 

Alsaif with a couple of strong kicks to start things off. Osmani clinches up and looks for shoulder throws. Alsaif gets her to the fence and fires off a flurry. Osmani locks her up again and pins her against the fence briefly. A strong spinning wheel kick. Alsaif now presses Osmani into the fence. Osmani with a headlock. Osmani tries to throw, but it slips off, and Alsaif jumps on top. Alsaif lands a couple of strong shots before taking Osmani into the fence.

 

Alsaif with a big lift, and she slams Osmani down in the center of the SmartCage. Osmani trying to control Alsaif’s posture. Osmani now closes the guard with about 40 seconds left. Alsaif still manages to land strong shots from up top. Osmani tries to squeeze and keep control of Alsaif. Alsaif lands a bit more before the bell.

Osmani with a switch kick to start. The two grapple for control in a clinch before a brief time out for a wardrobe malfunction. The action resets with Osmani pressing Alsaif into the fence – and Alsaif reverses the position as they battle for control. Side kick from Alsaif, followed by a combination. High kick for Alsaif lands as Osmani goes for a spinning attack. Alsaif goes for another. Straight punches from Osmani. Strong shots from Alsaif.

 

Alsaif brings Osmani to the fence. A couple of strong knees to the body, and Osmani crumples down!
