Stots is a 2-time NCAA Division II National Wrestling Champion who transitioned to MMA at 22, training under UFC veteran Jens "Lil Evil" Pulver. He has an 8-1 Bellator record with wins over Juan Archuleta and Magomed Magomedov. A former Interim Bellator Bantamweight World Champion, Stots has 4 KOs and 5 submissions. He wrestled at Nebraska-Kearney with UFC champ Kamaru Usman and holds a BJJ brown belt. After his mother's death, Rose Marie Stots, he turned to wrestling to fuel his competitive drive.
